CASTAG (Caithness and Sutherland Trout Angling Group) was a partnership of local angling clubs, hotels, sporting estates, angling instructors, the Highlands of Scotland Tourist Board, The Highland Council, Caithness and Sutherland Enterprise and Scottish Natural Heritage. There aim was to promote the sustainable development of trout angling within Caithness and Sutherland - the most northerly part of the Scottish mainland.
Due to the demise of CASTAG this web site was in danger of being lost to all. To stop this from happening, Lairg Angling Club has agreed to take over the running of the site and to try and continue to promote angling in this area.
