Opportunities for walking and wildlife watching abound, while the story of the people who lived here in the past is also well worth exploring: find out about the proud Clan MacKay at Strathnaver Museum or visit Strathnaver itself - site of Highland Clearances in the 19th Century.

For anglers, the North offers a range of excellent angling opportunities - from the wide open expanses of the Flow Country around Forsinard to the hill lochs of the north coast.
